About Us

Mobile Game Theater

Mobile Game Theater is a concept that began with a simple question to my 8 year old son. What do you want for your birthday this year? His response was, "How about a game truck?" I have to admit that I had no idea what a game truck was, but wanting to make his birthday special, I began a search on Google. There are several game trucks here in Orange County, CA, where I live. Which one did I call? The one ranked at the top, naturally. And so it went. My son had a great party; my wife did not have to clean a thing. It was a very memorable experience and all of his friends immediately wanted to have a game truck for their birthday party.

The idea hit me that I wanted to own a game truck, but I didn’t want to spend the $20k to $35k for a territory and franchise fees when the concept was virtually unknown.  Maybe for McDonalds or Subway…but not this.  And, I wanted to make some changes to the design of the trailer so that it seats 16 people, has four wide screens instead of three and a long leather bench that vibrates, so more kids could play, and the experience would be more memorable.

Fast forward a few months and I was getting about three parties per week, via word of mouth and referrals. Not too bad, but certainly not a great living either. Then, I called an ex-colleague of mine from San Diego who is an internet marketing specialist. A long story a little less long, he partnered with me, and now we are completely booked for game parties in Orange County and are now manufacturing the game truck as Mobile Game Theater.

The reason we decided to work together stemmed from my initial experience with the so called “turn key operation”. It was anything but turn key. I found myself doing social events for free to get my name out there, school parties, church events—anything I could do to get people to call me. My internet marketing friend from San Diego changed that almost instantly. Now, my phone rings constantly and my time spent with the game truck is spent making money.

Once we saw the success here in Orange County, where there are at least five other game trucks, we knew we were on to something special. If we can beat the competition here, then we can beat the competition anywhere.

Our business model is strong and simple:

  • NO franchise fees
  • NO franchise restrictions
  • Corporate support included
  • Website and reservation system included
  • Custom marketing tailored to your area and what your clients are looking for.
  • A GREAT Mobile Game Theater!

It’s really that simple. You don’t need to spend $20k upfront in a franchise fee and $1,000 per month to get the marketing and support you truly need to succeed at this business. But you do need support from a company who has experience in building a quality product and marketing that product for you productively and proficiently.
